This Time Next Week
This time next week...this time next week...I'll be carrying a new set of
memories in my heart. The concert at The Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee will
be over and I'll be on my way back home. The ride...that emotional
rollercoaster I've been waiting to ride since I got tickets is about to be
over. The time spent in the rollercoaster line has been full of laughter,
excitement and thrills, but nothing to rival this coming Saturday night.

AIN'T IT TIME YET?!?!
How many different ways are there to pass the time tween the day you order
your concert tickets till the day of the show? I have became a kind of expert
since January 31st when tickets for Memphis went on sale. Trust me...if it
will burn fifteen minutes out of my wait...I'll do it!

You're in my heart...
Why does Garth do this to us? Why does the music seemingly come into our lives and take over?
Sure, we have jobs, families, obligations. Hopefully those things never are denied because of our
love for the music. But, no matter what we are doing, where we are going, or who we are with,
there is always something pulling at our heartstrings.

Oughta Be A National Holiday!
It all started on February 7, 1962 in a lil town in Oklahoma. The world
didn't have a clue what had happened to it when Troyal Garth Brooks came out
kickin and screamin! Bless us all, he's been kickin and screamin ever since!

Garthobonics: The Language of the Garthnutt
You know, I was talking to a group of people the other day...carrying on a
conversation when I realized I'd slipped into GarthMode. They were all looking at me kinda weird. Weren't
understanding a word I was saying! It was then that it hit me...I was using Garthobonics!

Garthmoments---Precious and Few
Just what is it? What is that dream we find ourselves chasing? Is it to see a
concert? Is it to meet Garth Brooks? Is it just to feel a connection to the
music? Is it to talk to Garth and tell him how much we love and appreciate
what he does? Or is it to find that inner satisfaction of just knowing that
you understand the music?

Dreamers...Believers...True Garth Fans
I have been doing a lot of thinking about what it means to be a Garth fan.
Why do some fans see their dreams become reality? What makes us such a close-
knit group? Garth fans to me, have always been some of the best people in the
world. They share not only a love of the music, but a love and respect for
Garth...and each other. Garth fans are unique...special...we are
dreamers...we believe.

My Garthly Resolutions
The time has come to make those dreaded New Years resolutions. I cannot put
it off any longer. I have the typical ones that will get broken before
January is over...exercise more, eat less, be on time more, procrastinate
less. But, I have the Garthly resolutions that by golly I am gonna stick to
like glue if it takes me till December 31, 1998 to see them happen!

1997 - What a Garthyear it was!
What can you say about 1997? It was the year of the Garth! Everywhere you looked you caught a
glimpse of Garth. Concerts were in a blessed abundance to the delight of many a Garthstarved fan.
Night after night, in record breaking numbers Garth and Stillwater rocked the arenas with their
country music with muscle. Early in the year a buzz started about a new album release and this little
show in Central Park.

The Greatest Gift
I’ve always heard that the most precious gift in the world is life itself. Secondly, would be what we
choose to do with the life we are given. Many times I have been asked why I love the song “The
Dance” and why I love Garth Brooks so much. The answer is simple...Garth Brooks and “The
Dance” gave me my life back. My Christmas gift to all of you, is to open my heart fully and share
my story with you.

The Choice
Well, its now been over a year since I saw my last Garth Brooks concert. Am I suffering from the
GBW’s aka Garth Brooks Withdrawls? You bet I am. You just don’t know how much you miss it
till its not around anymore. That crowd, that excitement, that energy, that GBYell. Those lights,
those people faces who are seeing it all for the very first time, those people who already
have---they stand there with this look on their faces...they know what is about to happen. But, its
magical all the same.

SEVENS - Where's the warning label?
Well, we are all satisified now. Complete, whole, full...we have our SEVENS. Only thing is,
Capitol and Garth now have a problem. SEVENS should of been released with a WARNING
label...complete with a cautionary list.

In a SEVENS state of mind!
We got teased back in the summer...little glimmers of hope that we would soon have a new Garth
CD. Not just any CD but one rumored to be the best material yet! Not just any CD but one
rumored to be pure Garth....at his best...lyrically, vocally, and all around.

Ode to the Garth Room
Yes, tis sad but true. There is no more bonafide, certified, official Garth Room in my house. Last
week, it came down to a little pair of green eyes and a little pair of blue eyes looking longingly at
me. They pleaded, “Mommy we need a bigger bedroom and playroom.” What is a Garthnutt to
do?

How
do we give back what we receive?
One of the statements I previously made in my first
two columns was that we needed to give back to Garth what he has given
to us. Someone wrote me and asked me just how I proposed we do that. I
have some very definite ideas on that, and would like to share those with
you.

Garthaholics
Anonymous
Hello my name is Teresa and I am a Garthaholic. Many
of us are blessed with this amazing powerful ailment called Garthaddiction.
This week I thought I'd write about four things: cause, symptoms, effect,
and cure.

Who
Exactly is Garth?
Who is Garth? Does anyone really know? Is he an entertainer?
Is he a husband? A songwriter? A daddy? A son? Is he Superman or just a
man?
